MIUI 9 Android 7.0 Nougat Update – Release Date, Features, Eligible devices Considering the release date, the update will not happen anytime earlier than June 2017 as Xiaom is till have to release MIUI 9 Beta Update for various Mi & Redmi smartphones. MIUI 8 Global Stable update will be pushed starting from August 16th2016 so it is expected that the MIUI 9 will be made official some where in the last months of 2017.Xiaomi is always in talk for not providing regular Android updates for its smartphones & tablets. We can consider the flagship smartphone, the Mi4 which was launched back in 2014 running on Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 6 on top. After a year, the device upgraded to MIUI 7but still the smartphone remains on Android KitKat. Hope thing changes with MIUI 9 with both old and new devices being added to the update list.
